Here is a set of rules that apply to this blog. You are encouraged to read them and to contact me if you have any questions.
How to ensure your comment is approved
This blog is “dofollow” and uses the keywordluv plugin, which means that the search engines will follow the link(s) you leave in your comment and use your keywords as a ranking factor.
From a search engine point of view, this is a clear vote of confidence from my site to yours, and some of the page’s popularity will be passed on to your own website.
From my point of view, this means that I will be quite strict when I approve a comment as it can have a negative impact on how search engines perceive my site.
I will therefore only accept comments where:
- use your real name @ your keywords;
- the link points to your website homepage, your about page or your profile on a popular social media or networking site (twitter, ecademy, linkedin etc…);
- the link doesn’t point to a website that has inappropriate content. I’ll be the only judge of what I consider (in)appropriate, but as a rule of thumb : 3Ps, MFA and sites under construction are not appropriate, nor are sites that encourage hate (religious or race related) or any unlawful practices;
- your comment can contain links (up to 2), but only to web pages directly related to the article you are commenting on. Links to your own website can also be used… from time to time and only if related. Forum type signature links will not be accepted;
A nice place
This blog is a place to share and discuss, and to do so in a civilised manner. You are encouraged to comment if you agree with what I wrote. You are strongly encouraged to comment if you disagree with what I wrote, but please remain respectful of the author and the other people who have left comments.
All comments are moderated and will be removed without warning if they do not comply with the above rules.
